Welcome to Rescue Buddies. These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of RescueBuddies.ca and to products, memberships, services and resources offered by Rescue Buddies.

By using this website or purchasing or accessing a Rescue Buddies product or service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

About Rescue Buddies

Rescue Buddies creates fundraising systems, resources, memberships and other materials designed to help animal rescues, animal lovers and supporters raise funds and support animals.

Some Rescue Buddies products and services are delivered through third-party platforms such as Payhip. Additional terms from those providers may also apply when you use their services.

Using This Website

You may use RescueBuddies.ca for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the operation or security of the website or the ability of others to use it.

Information on this website is provided for general informational purposes. We try to keep information accurate and current but may update, correct or change website content when necessary.

Purchases and Digital Products

Please review the description of a product or service carefully before purchasing.

Most Rescue Buddies products are digital products or services. Delivery methods vary depending on the product and may include downloadable files, online access, email delivery, hosted content or materials delivered through a third-party platform.

Prices and included features are displayed on the applicable product or sales page at the time of purchase.

Permitted Use of Rescue Buddies Materials

Unless otherwise stated, Rescue Buddies retains ownership of the original materials, designs, instructions, templates, graphics and other content included in its products and services.

Purchasing a Rescue Buddies product gives you permission to use the materials for the purposes described in that product.

Animal rescues and other organizations purchasing fundraising systems may use and distribute included materials as instructed for their own fundraising activities.

You may not resell, reproduce, republish or distribute Rescue Buddies products or member-only resources as standalone products or resources, or represent Rescue Buddies materials as your own.

Materials specifically designed to be shared, printed, posted or distributed as part of a fundraising system may, of course, be used for those intended purposes.

Fundraising Results

Rescue Buddies provides tools, ideas, systems and guidance intended to help make fundraising easier and more organized.

Examples of fundraising amounts, potential earnings and suggested pricing are provided for planning and illustration only.

Fundraising results are not guaranteed.

Actual results depend on many factors outside the control of Rescue Buddies, including participation, pricing, outreach, audience size, local circumstances and how a fundraising system is implemented.

Tribute Gallery Fundraising Systems

A Tribute Gallery Fundraising System includes the materials and services described on the applicable product page at the time of purchase.

Gallery organizers are responsible for collecting the information, names, images and other materials required for their Gallery and for submitting them according to the provided instructions.

Organizers are also responsible for ensuring that they have permission to submit and use photographs, names, business information and other content they provide to Rescue Buddies.

Rescue Buddies may make reasonable formatting or presentation adjustments when creating a Gallery so that submitted content works appropriately within the Gallery design.

Tribute Gallery Hosting

The initial hosting period included with a Tribute Gallery will be described with the product at the time of purchase.

Additional hosting may be available through Gallery renewals or other Rescue Buddies offerings.

If hosting expires without renewal, Rescue Buddies may remove the Gallery from active hosting. Where practical, reasonable notice may be provided before an actively hosted Gallery is removed.

Gallery Expansions

Gallery Expansions allow additional tributes to be added to an eligible Rescue Buddies Tribute Gallery.

Expansion availability, size, pricing and any applicable hosting terms are based on the Expansion purchased and the policies in effect at the time of purchase.

An Expansion does not create a separate Gallery unless Rescue Buddies specifically states otherwise.

Gift-a-Gallery

Gift-a-Gallery allows a supporter or group to raise funds toward purchasing an eligible Rescue Buddies Tribute Gallery or Gallery package for an animal rescue.

Purchasing or receiving a Gift-a-Gallery certificate does not guarantee that a rescue will choose to redeem or use the Gallery.

Certificates and redemption instructions must be used according to the terms provided with the applicable Gift-a-Gallery product.

Where a Gift-a-Gallery bundle includes a Gallery Expansion, the Expansion may be used separately after the initial Gallery has been created, subject to the redemption and eligibility requirements provided with the bundle.

Memberships

Rescue Buddies may offer recurring memberships, including Fun Buddies and Fundraiser Buddies.

Membership features and pricing are described on the applicable membership page at the time you join.

Memberships are billed on a recurring basis until cancelled. The billing frequency and amount are shown before purchase.

You may cancel a membership to prevent future renewal charges. Cancellation does not normally reverse a payment that has already been processed, subject to applicable law and the Rescue Buddies Refund Policy.

Membership content may change over time as new resources are added, updated or retired.

Member-only materials are for the member's permitted use and may not be copied, resold or redistributed unless a particular resource specifically gives permission to do so.

Rescue Buddies Partner Program

Participation in the Rescue Buddies Partner Program is subject to approval by Rescue Buddies.

Partners may receive referral commissions, complimentary Partner Membership Access, sharing materials or other Partner benefits according to the Partner Program in effect at that time.

Commission rates and Partner benefits may vary depending on Partner status, including Founding Partner status.

Partner participation does not create an employment, agency, franchise or joint-venture relationship with Rescue Buddies.

Partners are responsible for representing Rescue Buddies accurately and must not make misleading claims, guarantee fundraising or financial results, or represent themselves as employees or authorized agents of Rescue Buddies.

Rescue Buddies may review Partner participation and may suspend or end participation in cases of misuse, fraud, misrepresentation or other conduct that could reasonably harm Rescue Buddies, its customers or participating rescues.

Specific Partner benefits, commission arrangements and program procedures may be described separately in Partner materials.

Third-Party Services

Rescue Buddies uses third-party services to provide portions of its website, checkout, payment processing, digital delivery, memberships, email communications and other business functions.

Your use of those services may also be subject to the terms and policies of the applicable provider.

Rescue Buddies is not responsible for outages, interruptions or other circumstances outside its reasonable control, but we will make reasonable efforts to help resolve problems affecting a Rescue Buddies purchase or service.

Refunds and Purchase Problems

Refund eligibility is governed by the Rescue Buddies Refund Policy and any applicable consumer protection laws.

If you experience a problem accessing or receiving something you purchased, please contact Rescue Buddies so we can try to resolve the issue.

Intellectual Property

The Rescue Buddies name, branding, original graphics, written materials, fundraising systems, templates, designs and other original content are owned by Rescue Buddies unless otherwise stated.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Rescue Buddies intellectual property to a purchaser, member, Partner or website visitor.

Permissions granted for the use of purchased materials are limited to their intended purpose as described in these Terms, the product description or the materials themselves.

User-Submitted Content

When you provide photographs, names, logos, tribute information or other materials to Rescue Buddies for use in a Gallery or other service, you retain ownership of your content.

You give Rescue Buddies permission to use, format and display that content as reasonably necessary to provide the service you requested.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary permission to provide that content to Rescue Buddies.

Changes to Products and Services

Rescue Buddies may update, improve, replace or discontinue products, resources, membership features or services as the business develops.

Changes will not remove rights to products already purchased where those rights have already been granted, except where a change is reasonably necessary for legal, security, technical or operational reasons.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Rescue Buddies is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of the website, fundraising systems, resources or services.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection law.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time as Rescue Buddies grows, products change or legal and operational requirements change.

The Last updated date at the top of this page will indicate when the Terms were most recently revised.

For purchases already made, the terms applicable at the time of purchase may continue to apply where required.
